When I read Dan's evaluation I didnt recognise the description of my pic which he said was essentially; "flat and soft"...!?!! When I looked at the entry I saw immediately what he meant and also that somewhere in the uploading process the image file reverted to the unedited original!
I only just managed to get my entry onto the site with 3 mins left before the midnight deadline, and then fell into bed completely exhausted from building stage scenary all day. Analysis has shown that the file lost it's editing between 'Picassa' and being exported into 'my pictures' ready for uploading to 'Photobucket' (the image in 'My pictures' is also soft and flat but that in Picassa is still showing my edits which were colour balancing and sharpening)
The whole pain of using this new K100D is getting the images thru the computer/software (which is now my own not very good PC at home) and at present I only have the time to really use Picassa, the pentax software being largely beyond my comprehension and endurance to succeed! Of neccessity at the moment my use of this camera is in stolen seconds and the pix sort of thrown at the computer late at night before collapsing.......
I would be very grateful for a bit of guidance..........

If the tooling is still available and with the potential economies that Hoya could bring I would think that this could be quite profitable. ..."
Agreed,...it would make sense especially since 'the others' offer these focal length choices.
The Zeiss 25mm is very interesting as this is a key focal length not deemed important by pentax.

So, what were the chances of any shortcomings in design or manufacture coming thru' for the reader to consider then?
Are'nt magazine editors enough in the pockets of manufacturers already then?
Why did this have to be an "advertorial feature"?.......is the K10 not good enough to stand up on it's own reputation?
If they have to PAY a magazine to give it a good write up then it MUST be a pretty crappy camera.........

These are some of the first images from a K100D which is still undergoing ''aceptance trials'. With the anti-shake it is a formidable available light camera. The tree with street light was made at 1600iso, 1/8 sec handheld..!!!?!
None of these shots have been in any way edited other than a little sharpening.
