Brown color is not dirt, it is RGBG CMOS sensor effect, when moire makes rainbows and processor makes wrong equations.

If we are evaluating 24mp vs 16mp what was introduced before, then gain is realy minimaland reason to increase megapixels must be obvious.

Actually (seeing other samples) it is more like user failure - wrong RAW processing or something like that.

But only thing what worries me - lack of AA filter and possible consequences with this. For example, trying to take picture to print later on A1 paper with resolution 360 dots per inch.

One thing - look on that big hair on head of animal. That rainbow dissapoints. And beard (where (c) is placed) is even worse signal for bad digital signal processing, lack of antialiasing filter and combo of both problems.

But, damn... Good lens that 60-250 actually!

Ou man. You don`t know how slow and time consuming is real scanners...

To scan 10 frames 35mm with Nikon Coolscan 9000 (ICE for scrath and dust remove enabled, 4x pass for smoother details, Super CCD enabled (it scans with onl one row of sensors, to make zero possibilty for banding appearence and other mistakes).... Just scanning takes 3 hours. But before this, one usually makes preview, adjusts some curves and white ballance.

If you wish, I can scan your negatives for some agreed expenses (Emmm... I am not so busy with work at the moment).

I am rather shure that new 21mm limited has zero improvement compared to previous one.

Besides this - now it is cheaper look lens (everybody in crowd uses red colors for lenses). HD is abreviation what is used for cheap items to make look them more expencive. Although SMC was true legend and all of us was proud with these letters, believieng that these letters would never produce flares like we can see with scyscraper sample.

But imagine - with FF your limited makes 1.5x times less chromatic aberration. Picture of that sharp detail becomes 1.5x times sharper. FA 31mm 1.8 limited skyrockets in price even more (gladly I have one) - because it is wide and bright. Taking portrait with it, makes subject closer and bokeh much more visible and adds extra space around subject, making wide angle dynamics...

...and so many advanced folks left Pentax just because there was no path of growth. They were/are true Pentax dealers - because people asked questions and theses persons sold them Pentax.

Now they use Canon/Nikon and sell these cameras to beginners. Ok, all this is talked uncountable times.

With crop one can get one bird in viewfinder, but with FF... Whooping two birds with one shot!

1. Processor, shutter and frames pers second is made for paramount speed and operates at 24mp figures. So, can easily work with fulframe too!

2. New AF mechanism with lot of points and -3EV. It is capable for serious work - can be super good for new FF too.

3. Predictable AF linked with totally new light measuring tecnology - super good for FF too!

My conclusion - if Pentax is not cramming into kind of K5III just more MP, but makes a lot of technology improvements, it is signal for strong further developement path.
