Thanks to Alan for introducing yourself at the interclub DPI Comp last night. That's two Pentax Users I've met since signing up here.

There is nothing wrong with the tax system in this country. I have paid tax since my first pay cheque when I was 15 yrs old and expect to be paying income tax and all the other stealth taxes, VAT etc., until I die. How else is the government supposed to support the Great Unwashed and the Can't Work Wont Work etc. etc. etc.

Well here's my Ladybird shot from today ... taken with the Canon 50D so not allowed to actually display it on the forum.
Super shot, also I'm pleased the LB has a "ginger" colour as a lot of them on here are so red it looks like they are painted with "Post Office" red.

At my local camera club the judge commented that he (personally) had never seen a Van Dyke Brown print entered in a competition. Until I looked it up on Wiki I had no idea what he was talking about and in the digital age can't see a lot of point to the method. The print in question was just a normal B&W conversion (well it looks B&W on the monitor) and that was the way it came out of the Canon printer as have the other B&W photoshop conversions. It looked "Sepia" so was entered in the mono section.
Has anyone done Van Dyke Brown printing using chemicals etc. with any success.

Is it just me or is Saturday evening TV dire at the moment?

I don't much care for games shows, soaps and the like, give me a good light drama.

Not the dross that's been on, in general, this evening!
Just wait until tomorrow if you think that was bad
I think it's a plot to get people out the house and back into the pubs at the weekend. It doesn't seem that long ago it was worth watching the tv at the weekend, something for all the family.
Another gripe I have is why everything that is worth watching is broadcast at 2100hrs. Even with the possibility of recording two channels while watching a third isn't enough. It's ok if the programme is repeated at a later time/date.
Have a nice day
