Just back from a trip to the seaside - well New Brighton - howling gales, wet and bl**dy cold - took a short stroll and then back in the Astra - off to Eastham Ferry overlooking the Mersey - still chilly but away from the wind.
Home for a butty and a cuppa and catch up on the emails.
Some good tv last night - Countryfile was super and The Eight with Bill Nighy brilliant.

You're ahead of me on the Nesbos Tony - I have only read two so far. I have the third one on the e-reader so I'll move on to that as soon as I'm done with Keef - which shouldn't be long as I keep skipping great chinks. Not as impressed with it as I had expected to be based on the reviews.
Also have another Indridason lined up and the new Kathy Reichs. Now to find time to read them all .
Sorry TT - Jo Nesbo - detective thriller writer par excellence. You're ahead of me on the Nesbos Tony - I have only read two so far. Lewis Hamilton - Formula 1 GP racer par excellence.
Al Onslow - Spanish Ferrari steerer with bad attitude.
Just back from a short walk in the woods - picked loads of damsons - back tomorrow with an Asda bag.

"Raising the tone of the thread even more
Anyone watch the Prom on BBC4 tonight? I was channel hopping and caught the beginning. The Spaghetti Western Orchestra. I ended up watching it all. Just brilliant".
Brilliant Gwyn - some of our favourite music - I recorded the second showing at 2-55am as I missed the first 20 minutes.
Bernard - Jo Nesbo and his character Harry Hole for you - brilliant x 10 - 6 books so far - read in order if you can.

Hiya Gwyn,
glad you finally got your "fix" - I`m actually drinking less with the medication , but still enjoy the odd Nespresso Lungho black and no sugar.
Reacher is addictive I must say , and I`ve done the Jo Nesbo Harry Hole books so far - really very very good.
The new Cyril decided to "claw" his way up the UPCVCPCV window frame to get at the bird feeder today - soon stopped that by bringing it inside - will leave some nuts on the ledge and see what happens - little tinker !
Forecast here is - would you believe - wet ?
Hey ho .................
best to all
