I like this. I think by having it centre (rather than the usual thirds rule - at least on the vertical) and not really seeing the engine, it creates a strong visual that's quite "in-your-face". Very good. Tony

This is a very good study. The only niggle I have is the angle; a bit too severe for me.

Very nice atmosphere. However, the church is too central for me. I think I would have liked the trees on the left cropped out. The eye would then be led from the church up to the light? Tony

And just to make things even more complicated, I would like to see this soft focus (gasp!) I like mono and it works here - looking from behind adds intimacy, but I think the sharpness detracts. I would have a go with something like the clarity slider or a bit of gaussian blur to add dreamy quality. Might work - might not? Tony

Excellent photo! This is almost chilling - the menacing shape, seen from an unusual angle against a squeaky clean sky. And the diagonal introducing tension as well - I like this a lot.

Excellent pic! The colours and dynamic are superb. The only criticism I have is that the extreme wide-angle has placed the main subject too far back. I wonder if it would still retain the dynamic, but engage more with the houses/beach if you were to crop 20% off the sky and 10% off the foreground? (Makes me yearn for the 10-20 even more!!) Tony

Very nice Paul - I'll name mine Ian, although he's probably a gonner by now. Your shot is much sharper, although we used the same lens. My problem was that the bugger was up at the top of the mirror in the bathroom, so no chance of tripod/monopod and I had to lean over. Did you use tripod? And how do you find the Sigma? I've been very pleased!

Very nice Amin, and I agree that the softer colours work. However, there's a bit too much space on the left for me and I would have preferred a squarer crop. Tony
