This is in excellent condition as can be seen in the photos. Slight rubbing on the metal cap that is only really noticeable if you look for it. All original packaging and warranty card (plus a piece of history with the announcement of the Hoya merger!) We all know how good this lens is. The only reason I'm selling is that the 40mm XS is my walkaround when I want to go light. As always return with full refund if there's a problem. This retails for £499 at SRS, so I'm offering at £300 including RMSD. Bank Transfer only please - happy to send overseas as well.

This is back on at £70 delivered. This is a good lens, better than its slightly faster companion, see here: http://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/SMC-Pentax-FA-100-300mm-F4.7-5.8-Zoom-Le...

A very good deal. (BTW, for those who read all the thread, sanity prevailed and I DIDN'T buy the 300mm - too big!!)

Very good. Also agree with Hullman. To me, however, it looks like the horizon is sloping a bit to the right?

I fear I may have played the negatives too harshly! This is as good as the reviews say and I'm quite happy to take returns (at my cost if I've misrepresented, otherwise I'll refund the amount paid less postage. I've had plenty of happy buyers )

I think that I would agree that if light + viewfinder were most important, then a non-Pentax mirrorless is probably the best route.

Before I got it I was concerned that the ergonomics would be uncomfortable. Along with a lot of others (check the other forum) I find it very comfortable, with the size and rubber grip working really well. I think the Nex etc. are too thin to be comfortable. The button placement is probably the worst aspect, trying to reach the red/green.

I was also nervous about lack of viewfinder, but find I've adapted quite quickly. Bright sunshine is the main problem, but that's pretty rare at the moment! Focus peaking more than makes up for it.

If you can, you should get your hands on one - it is so different that you can't judge by photos or rely on the knee-jerk reactions.

Cheers

Tony

PS And I think it looks just great!
