Hi,
Another little update, completed making the Gimbal head, bearings and all and it seams to work quite fine. Waiting for some good weather to try it out and compare it against the Manfrotto 393.
Anyone intrested leave a note and I could send a pic of it.

Hi,
Just a update, decided to buy the Manfrotto 393 Gimbal type head and it is a great inprovement, even on my Manfrotto 144 tripod and very easy to use compared to the last setup I had. Went further the other week and bought the Manfrotto 475 Tripod, now things are becomming really steady.
Just need some good weather to try it all out!!
Oh and just to keep me occupied decided to try and make a Gimbal to better tollerances than 393 !!

Unlocker - found a Recommended HP Photosmart Driver Patch on the HP site, dated 29/01/2008 aimed at CS3, but it's most probably the one you got.
I have loaded it, have to try it now.
Also asked HP for some advice.
Gwyn - tried sRGB and Adobe RGB both with simalar results, having another look at my hand book.

Well i am no expert, but using Photosmart pro plug-in for Photoshop that comes with the HP B9180 printer software works fine in CS2 but it is not supported in PSE 5 and thus darker, duller prints unless you play around with the settings.

Well i am not blaming PSE5 it's maybe me!!
My screen is calibrated, the printer runs on Vivera HP inks (8of), HP photo paper 280gsm.
Most of the prints are quite alot darker compared to screen.
Eliments 5 does not support Photosmart pro plug-in for Photoshop but i did find using it on a trial of CS2 both screen and prints were the same.

Hi all,
Quick question, I use a HP Photosmart Pro B9180 with Photoshop Elements 5, results average. Any suggestions of what to upgrade to CS2, CS3?

Well thanks for the info, i like the simple easy answer of changing one camera to sRGB and leaving the other on AdobeRGB as long as the RAW data is maintained, cheers Amoringello.

My partner and myself both have K10D’s and load the Raw files onto our laptop usually into the same folders before processing them in Photoshop Elements 5.
Is there anyway to change the Raw file name format on one of the camera’s ? i.e. (_IGP5879.DNG to _IGPtom5879.DNG) as our picture file numbering is very close? This would save having to manually edit them in a separate a folder before copying into the same folder and proccessing.

Just put a boring test picture in the gallery, not good light conditions.
Mainly trying to show steadeness, if any!!
Intresting to know what you all think!!!!
Used my old Manfrotto 144 tripod,322RC2 and 293 long lens support with the K10D and Sigma 50-500 ontop.
Also took one with my MTO 1000 but could not upload it.only allowed one upload per day.
