Using JPeg at the moment as my photo software [ PhotoScape] will not show Raw files,it says wrong type of file.Camera is set either to AV or TV which seems to make me think about what I am doing ??[ difficult at my age somedays]HI.Also have a 70-300mm sigma APO, but weighs a ton so stays in the cupboard Thank You Terry

Hi Nigel Hope this helps.Taking picture with my K-r on Auto or P were very disappointing, but using the same on my G9 were brilliant and if i was capable of using all its functions even better I expect. As you stated I was going to exchange it for the latest entry level Nikon but after all the advice from the forum, and going away from Auto and P I am certainly keeping it thanks to you lads.
The G9 is a superb piece of kit for a compact size camera and goes everywhere with me whilst walking .also have a G3 built like a tank and only 4MB but still takes good photos.
Thanks again everyone Regards Terry

Hi All
Thanks again for all the input everyone , nice to know there are those who care.Since all your efforts, things have improved 100% this end and the enjoyment is back as it should be. I am sticking with JPeg at the moment as I have no software for Raw [and it seems a bit daunting Hi]I have put an advert in the Classifieds for Elements or Photoshop, but I would like the photos to be straight off the camera, so I can compare. Also thanks for all the Menu suggestions which I will try .
Thanks Again for you time and effort Regards Terry

Hi All
Looking for a copy of Photoshop or Elements please,
