I'm looking forward to seeing this, and the results

Congratulations Alan well done.

Just a stunning set of Macro's Mike and yes I would quite happily have some of these on my wall. The detail on pictures two & three are stunning, I especially like the reflection in the water droplet on number three. I wonder if my Tamron would produce anything as sharp? I'm off to find a dandelion to find out.

Looking forward to this one, I just hope my lenses & skills can cope, still as the great sage said Carpe Jugulum

I put this into google "whitby Goth Meeting pentax", the first hit is this forum the second one is my shot of David!!!!!!

Well it must be us, I have just searched for the following on Google images:

Whitby Goth Weekend 2010, Whitby Goth Festival 2010, Whitby Goth, Whitby Goth 2010, Goth.

I am not sure how often Google spiders the Pentaxuser or Photobucket sites but it has not flagged anything within the first five pages on these keywords.

Who said I gave my cards to just the girls, it's true but I was keeping that quiet

Well staggered to the computer at 6:00 this morning looked bleary eyed at the screen, noticed the thread title, my first caffeine free thoughts were "is Pentax biting the dust " but no bigger shock, Gareth went out and bought a Nikon and did not tell me at the Goth weekend. I would have taken more time poring through his lens collection . I've now had first cup of coffee and am able to communicate!!!! I hope you do keep in touch Gareth it's my turn to buy a cooked breakfast at Whitby.

I must confess that I seriously considered the competition before purchasing my K7, but felt that what I wanted to achieve, longer faster lenses, I could not afford. So I stuck with what I know, and am quite happy, although I wish my DA 55-300 was faster, the high ISO noise is really irritating.

Keep in touch Gareth and Enjoy

I can feel my hay fever kicking in just looking at it . Great shot, and well conceived it reminds me of the lavender fields in France.
