S*** is another matter entirely though.
Although technically I suppose it would be spell and not say because it is written on the forum and not spoken.
Anyway, veering off topic faster than usual for this forum .. sorry.

Ain't that the truth. I used to work for them. I have one of their TVs (OKish) one of their digiboxes (crashes at 6 pm) and one of their dvdrs (crashes any and all of the time). Faced with the choice I'd sooner have hepatitis B.
S*** is another matter entirely though.

You must have bought a Nikon long lens? I ask because Sigma and Tamron lenses are available in Pentax mount.
You must indeed have spent a lot of money!

If he puts it on a Pentax strap no one will know.

It was more about being able to hire lenses than buy them. Yes, you can buy long telephoto zooms for Pentax but I am not aware of anywhere you can hire them. You must have bought a Nikon long lens? I ask because Sigma and Tamron lenses are available in Pentax mount.

Paying £240 a week for a 400mm f/2.8 is a lot of money, but it is cheaper than paying £6000 to buy one.

Won't you look a bit sad walking round on your own with a N**** and a long fast lens?Just to say I've no plans to leave the forum and certainally will be doing the Whitby meets.

Incidentally, has anyone else noticed that it looks like Mike's cat is thinking about pouncing on fatspider?

Just to say I've no plans to leave the forum and certainally will be doing the Whitby meets.
And it's not because I've fallen out of love with Pentax, it just comes down to one main reason: I can't hire long, fast lenses and I wan't them for next time I go on safari.
No, I don't think N**** is better or that it will make me a better photographer. There is good and bad in every camera system and I've just spend £1,700 to get the next-best thing to a K7. And we can spend many a happy hour discussing the good and bad of all the brands.
But feel free to start abusing me...
