Ex Wikipedia. "The variant spelling lense is sometimes seen. While it is listed as an alternative spelling in some dictionaries..."

I thought one thing kids today learnt was how to be tolerant about minor matters. After all what is communication. I think we all got the idea.

When was spellchecking, english correction, and pointing out typographical errors important in photography. Or is it that someone really hates the 35-80 lense.

Quite impressed with the Kr. While the K20D has some more professional features. I ask myself do I need them. Video is very handy. K20D is on the market. Only 2700 shutter actuations.

I always had the 55-300 connected to the camera, as I like the distance shots, but I am impressed with the 35-80 and have that on the camera all of the time.

Least used is the 17-55. Just when do you use such a lens. Landscape or houses, not really every day use.

Just bought a 35-80 Lense. Was sold as a kit lense with Pentax Film Cameras I believe. Read a few reviews, mixed conclusions.

However tried it briefly on the K20D and Kr. Quite a decent lense, good quick autofocus, exposure a touch light sometimes, but very pleased in comparison with the 17-55 and 55-300 new kit lenses.

Any one else had these experiences.

Oh cheap as well.

Hello Everyone. Call me lazy, but. Just got the KR. Nice camera, you can see that it is a little more consumer, than pro. But I am more consumer than pro as well. Havent really tested it as yet.

Sometimes setting all those whistles and bells on the K20D becomes burdensome, particularly when you are moving from different scenes to others, such as surf photos, to inside or outside wedding photos. Or if you are in a real rush and dont have time to think about what you are doing.

My questions are does the KR focus as well as the K20D. Sharp Photos are very important to me.

Generally are the preset scene modes very effective.

I understand that the K20D is probably a better camera than the KR, but went through the manual, and really find that it is going to be a job, working out the settings when changing cameras. Do I sell the K20D or stick with the K20D and sell the KR. I was very happy with my *ist DS, but was not happy with the KM.

Lastly should I keep the "sexy" white 18-55DAL or the "boring" 18-55 DA.

You might realise the better half is now questioning why I need all this camera gear.

Ive just bought a KR, in White. I bought it mainly for the video. But I didnt want to spend all that money on a K5. It will be interesting if I decide to keep my K20D, sell the KR, or anything else.

Not going to make any hasty decisions.

Should arrive tomorrow.

I knew there were quite a few reasons why I bought Pentax. I always assumed that all other Digital SLR manufacturers had the same features.

Cheers to Pentax. Now just work on that super sharp focus. LOL

I had problems with some older Sigma lenses and the autofocus. Sharpness is very acceptable now after buying new pentax lenses. Havent yet tried to calibrate the autofocus, with the particular lense. I have got the focus card though. Probably sharpness is OK, or I would have taken the trouble to go further.

I was a bit disappointed with the sharpness of the K20D. I managed to tweak it up a bit through the camera settings, and had to work with my lenses to get the best lenses for the job. I would have rather had a camera which produced sharp images and if you wanted softer ones you would then tweak the sharpness down. I think it is far easier to soften up a sharp image than sharpen up a soft image. All in all the image with the K20D is very satisfactory. I love supersharp pictures though.

But I am seriously considering changing to a Canon. Ohh but the costs of changing. Especially now that the value of DSLR's without video are dropping very fast.

Starting to put professional money into a love which doesnt earn professional income.

I,ve tried all the sigmas with my K20D. I have found the Pentax 55-300 is a very good companion for the K20D. Good autofocus, clear bright photos, and easy to use. Well worth the purcahse price.
