The beauty in the design of the MZ series straps was the two pouches for the cover and a remote. I have MZ straps on all my cameras for that reason.

I have for sale a MZ10 body that was recently acquired as part of a bundle. The camera is in good working condition, with the exception of the flash, which does not pop-up. The flash itself works, it just needs to be held up. A good camera for someone , who would like to try out film.

Hi Bernard, it is a well known issue with some of the old Vivitars. The extended shield is the problem of Pentax DSLRs. It is quite a simple fix.
1. Remove the small screws that hold the shield in place and carefully lift the shield away.
2. Cut or grind down the shield depending upon whether it is plastic or metal. Use a modern Pentax lens to gauge how much to cut away.
3. Make sure there are no rough edges and clean down well , before refitting to the lens.

I have for sale my backup MZ6 film camera. The camera is fully working and in good overall condition. It comes with an original MZ series wide strap and body cap. The camera also has working batteries.

The MZ6 was one of the later cameras in the MZ range and is quite highly specified. Worth pointing out is that the camera features an uncrippled KAF mount, which means it can work with both lenses with and without aperture rings. I regularly use my DA 16-45 (which is full frame from about 21mm on an MZ6. The camera can also provide full functionality with TTL and later P-TTL flashguns.
