For sale is my
Sigma Mirror Telephoto 600mm f8 S/N 204216

This lens is in very good / Excellent condition throughout, the bodywork is nice and clean with some normal usage marks.
Optically the lens is free of dust, fungus or scratches and is in full working order.

The lens comes with the original front and rear lens caps, lens hood and Sigma carry case which includes a bag of silica to prevent moisture which can lead to fungus when kept in warm dark environments, and the original instruction booklet.

Mirror lenses have the distinct advantage of being extremely compact and light in comparison to their equivalent focal lengths of standard lens design.

Great for wildlife and sports shots especially when combined with Catch in Focus.

When used on any of the APSC reduced-sensor Pentax digital SLR's this lens will equate to a 900mm telephoto.

Manual focus only - works in Manual Exposure Mode with a fixed aperture of f8 so good light required, although with the K5, Kr & K30 higher ISO capabilities this lens should be usable in less light.

Weight - 850g
Length (min / max) - 130mm / 145mm
Rear Filter Size – 22.5mm
Minimum Focus (in close focus (macro) mode) - 2.0m (achieves 1:3)
Aperture Range - F8 fixed

Price £120 inc. RMSD

A mirror can be challenging but ultimately rewarding and a tripod and patience are required because the DOF is tiny and you have to be precise with the focus. Catch in focus is a huge advantage on a Pentax DSLR.
A TC adds glass which impacts your IQ unless you use good quality lenses with it.
To give you an idea here are some shots taken with a Sigma 600mm f8 mirror.

And here are some shots with a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 and a Kenko 2x TC

BTW The 600mm and/or the 2x TC could be for sale if your interested

We have a free organised display every year and I try to attend if I can. My tip for you is Tripod, bulb mode, f16 to prevent over exposure and burnt highlights, wide lens (I use my 16-50) turned up into portrait, and I always use an IR remote to open and close the shutter one press to open and another to close. You open the shutter when you see the biggies launch into the air and close it at the end of the explosion. usually 4-8 seconds but sometimes longer.

Example shot, I particularly like this image as there were people on the beach in the foreground that really emphasised the scale of the fireworks.
There are more examples on my flickr.

Hi folks, picked one of these up on eBay, arrived today but no manual with it. Can someone please remind me of that fabulous website that has a whole heap of manuals and hopefully one for this flash? Failing that, if anyone has one they either don't want or could copy and email to me that would be fab.
Cheers
Steve

I took this with one, with good light its not bad but needs a bit of PP to get it right.
