The Shanghai Wild Animal Park has an island solely for Lemurs, cages only for pregnant or nursing mothers, these were taken whilst walking amongst them.

Thanks Steve ! I was using the DA*300 for the vast majority and the Sigma 50-150 for the others.

Excellent set froggy. Sharp details and photogenic subjects Love the first two, and rather like the expression in number four...

Great set here, Lemurs seem to be a very curious and sociable breed. #2 and 10 are my personal favourites. There's a walk-through Lemur enclosure at Blackpool Zoo, though the light is rarely as favourable as this!

This is a very good set. Curious about #1. I keep going back to it. Did you purposely focus on the hand/paw?

You're right about #1. It is (by normal measures) out of focus because the 'standard' rule is to focus on the nearest pupil.

But in this case it works extremely well. It somehow adds an intimacy that would not be there otherwise.

Thanks Matt - they are incredibly photogenic creatures. As well as being remarkably placid - even when their neighbour steals the piece of fruit they were eating !

Thank you DCG. Yes, they are indeed. I actually thought it too bright but better than overcast I suppose !

Thanks Alan. Yes of course I did !

No I am still kicking myself for not taking more shots to make certain I hit focus on the eyes (but he moved off quickly so ...), as you can see at that distance with a 300mm there is only a few mms to play with. The fingers look good though
