Hi All,
I took this picture of a sand castle sculpture at my local seafront but because of the background it is not one I would care to look at again and it would remain in the library only as a record shot.

So I changed the background.

Sorry, forgot to say where it is.
It is one of the falls you get to from Pontneddfechan nr. Glyn Neath.
You take the path to Sgwd Gwladys then continue up river about 1/2 a mile as I said earlier crossing the river 3 or 4 times and you find this gem Sgwd Einon Gam

Is anyone experienced with Redsnapper tripods and would they recommend them, their prices appear too good to be true and you know the old saying "if it's too good to be true ..." etc.

Hi Charlotte, rather than using the TC have you tried macro tubes?
Because there is no extra glass between your lens and sensor you won't lose as much definition and sharpness, the down side is you have to get much closer to your subject. Try to get a set with contacts if you can. I also found a cheap ring flash (not LED) that works well for this type of work it cost me less than £50 on ebay and it has lights on it so you can see your subject when it's dark. It is a little cumbersome but who cares as long as you get the shot. Check your PMs.

Probably the most idyllic place I have ever been to. You have to cross the river 4 times to reach this spot but it is well worth it.
