Been watching a spider outside lately. He recently hit the jackpot as a wasp nest must have been built nearby and he was been catching loads in his web.

That's one cracking set of shots - the eyes stand out for me as well.

I like the title as well - it suits my daft side

Glad to see you've found the time to take some photographs in between selling lenses

What you have captured in such excellent detail is an example of the European garden spider (Araneus diadematus).

Was this 'Little Spidey's' first photo shoot?

Excellent images Mike, and razor thin DOF too.

BTW, I think he, is a she. Males don't usually have such voluminous abdomens.

First 3 was the Pentax D-FA 100mm macro with 1.7x attached
Last one was Tamron 72B Adaptall 2 90mm macro
