I am going to be controversial here
The 3rd one is my least favourite, the sky is a little bright for my taste. I struggle to pick between images one and two, both are superb - probably edge towards image two (maybe the dark side of my character coming out here )

Two striking images with real impact. I am more drawn to the monochrome of Crewe Station but both are superb

Myself also, told them more or less that I want a 35mm full frame classic rangefinder type camera that is optically on par with the very best out there.
That's the trouble - ask 10 Pentax Users what they want and get 20 opinions I asked for an update to my beloved LX

Nice job. As a long time user of Topaz and Adobe I have no problem with post processing. It is easy to be dismissive of it but in my view it is just an update on some of the things I did when using an enlarger to print negatives or transparencies (use of different filters / papers etc to change the characteristic of an image).
I do agree that some do maybe not make such a good job of it, by accident or design - only they know. Definitely my earlier attempts at anything beyond cropping and a few level changes across the whole image were not very successful - hopefully a little improved now.

David's edit of the owl just goes to show the worth of good software / editing skills. The original image captured a beautiful bird in flight (congratulations GSHOEL) and the edit has just helped the beauty of nature shine through.

Thank you all for taking the time to comment, very much appreciated.

Having been confined to quarters with illness for a few days I have had the chance to further explore which under used lenses (and indeed cameras!) I have. Makes me think 2025 either has to be an epic picture taking year or quite a few treasures need to find new homes!

A few photos from today's walk around the parkland at Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire. All images Pentax K1 and Pentax-FA* 24mm F2 AL. This is a lens which has not seen a lot of use recently so I decided to give it an outing.

Back to my LR catalog to see which is next to be dusted off!

What's not to like? Those are excellent results from a measly £1. I like that P.way trolley in front of the Brush type 4 too. What does it do?
I believe the yellow trolley is a "Tamper" for when our P-Way team re-set and ballast the track. Fortunately I am still too young for our P-Way team (their average age is still ahead of the steam teams - just! )
