I'll just check the "all of the above" box

Much appreciated, Lenny. I see your point regarding size, but I just can't bring myself to upload large files...

Gorgeous tones in both images, Lenny. There's a form of intimacy in St Ann's Well which quite appeals to me.

Thank you Derek, I'll be searching for more, with different textures - interesting forms to be found in unexpected places!

Enjoyable rythms in the second image, nice one.

"Do it all" will certainly depend on our individual tastes, needs and visions. I have 3 or 4 lenses, all primes, and the only time I take my M28 3.5 off my camera is when I add a tube for more abstract work. Recently I've decided to stick the tube onto the rear end of my M35 2.8 so as to make things easier when going from one setup to the other. So my "do it all" lens is the 28, and my specialty lens is the 35+tubes.

Hello all, here are some more experiments with a short tube on short focal length(s) - I think these are all 35mm (I also took some with a 28mm) with a 12mm tube. The combo seems to get me somewhere I like (I'd already done 28 + 12 on some bamboo shots a while back), so it will be a recurring tool for me!

The rendering of the second image is quite magical, thanks to the subdued tones and colours. Good job!

Great stuff again, Derek, not only the shapes, movement and depth - there are subtle colour shifts going on in these too.
