Putting on a show in #1. Lovely shots.

I'll vote for 2 also, and 4 - both for the beautiful pastel colours.

Nigel, I find your image quite all right, very moody and atmostpheric. Not too dark at all - I'd even emphasize the darkness like Peter did above, although I wouldn't brighten the logs in the foreground as he did (well, maybe just a touch, but nothing drastic).

Lovely images, in particular the sycomore leaves - beautifully captured. Oh, and à propos OOF highlights, as a more-or-less ex-USAmerican, I'm ok with donuts.

Bill, what a beautiful set of engravings - imagination runs wild throughout, blending seemlessly with abstraction in everchanging patterns and swirls. Likenesses occur, and are part of the fun, but they do not overpower the 'beyondness' of each image. Your seeing (feeling) and conveying of that which is beyond the materially present is key to my appreciation of your photography (I daresay it is an important part of what fascinates me with photography in general) - the otherwordliness is definitely very palpable here. The set somehow makes me think of Victor Hugo's wash drawings as well, some of which are quite 'on the edge'. The delicacy of your processing is, as always, highly commendable - as is your treatment of colour (I very much like how, here and in much of your landscape work, I can read the colours as a coloured greyscale of sorts, or rather, a kind of 'shades of presence'). Admirable work, once again.

A nasty portrait, that first one. Very menacing. Lovely

I'm with you Steve. Your image above, without the human presence, would be a fine example of this, as the path after the bridge seems to go off to an angle, making the bridge look like it is leading nowhere reallly, or to a dead end in the hedge - there would be a sense of mystery, or a questioning at least.

Great images Nigel. 1, 8 & 9 have my preference, especially 1, both beautiful and intriguing. 10 has great colours and tones going for it too.

A lovely colourful set indeed, Antony. I especially like the first image for its very painterly quality (my how that yellow morphs into white) and composition.
