Went out for a stroll with the tripod, not something I usually take it is quite heavy. Would have liked to get both ends of the lock gates in shot but would not have got the blurred water from the gates if had gone any wider.

Welcome to the forums. You can use the exposure compensation in the menus or the button on the camera, simply set to -1 and see what the shot is like.

AHHH reminds me of the old rich tones sounds of the old vinyl. Very nice shot.

Beautiful sharpnes and details there, love the rich colors in them particularly in 4 and 5.

B&W is much better, but that sky and the building need darkening down, and you need to get you eyes checked if you think those are birds in the sky

I think the dust could be birds in flight, used the polorising filter to get a long shutter speed to blur the water, usually check sensor weekly for dust. Will try the black and white conversion, cheers fellas.

Tried a long exposure to blur the water on this shot, the direct sunlight beneath the first arch on the left detracts from the shot for me. Overall though am quite pleased with it.

In the 14th century the Chantry Chapel of St Mary the Virgin was built on the medieval bridge across the River Calder on the road to Doncaster and the south.

Great depth to this and the path leads the eye in nicely to the cove.
