Thanks for that. I kind of thought if it can burn my eyes(as in just being in the pub) it can burn my sensor.

Velimir suggested in a VERY POLITE way that I must have been mental to take pics at a Pub Gig when they are using lasers. I've done it a couple of times before and found no problem. Since Velimir comment I've done pixel mapping, taken a picture of a white card and a black card, and can see nothing wrong. Am I missing something?

Just a Question ( I think I know the answer), but when you say move this slider to -40 or similar, you do mean for that particular photo that you are playing with don't you? It's not just you, all the video tutorials make it sound almost like it is a rule to be followed.

That was useful. I've only got LR4 but I can see I can use some of your ideas in that

highjacked? the whole thing has turned into a lightroom versus photoshop thing. not what i intended as the ( to use the slang) OP.

right.( no CAPS as someone complained about them}. to me lightroom4 is so good, why would you need to use anything else.( this is fun not using CAPS). slightly dislexic anyway. unless you want to warp a piccy into to something you did not take?it must be a bad picture to then go on to photoshop.that was what i was getting at.for some reason i am attracted to photos of the sun straight at me. liightroom4 helps recover the blown out highlights and the under exposed ? low lights.

I think I really meant Skiddaw, not Scafell.

I was on the medium sized hill on the side of Scafell that over looks the A66. After walking up there I found out there was a car park about 1/4 of a mile away. I like walking. But not uphill.
