Apparently, there is a firm out there that does such a conversion. However, from the price, it is better to buy a proper digital camera with all of the features and support that come with it.

'Mannesty' is correct about the lenses will work. According to Sigma, their lenses not marked with DG will not work on digital but this DOES NOT APPLY to Pentax Digital. It is something like 99% of Pentax fit lenses will work on digital. I know this personally cos my Sigma 28-300 is not marked DG and it works just fine. Good old Pentax.

If still in doubt, take your lenses to the dealer and try them out, it's the best way. However, remember that some dealers know little about Pentax cameras

BTW I recommend that you consider the DL2, it has a much better and faster focusing system which, from what I've seen, beats the original DL by miles

The CRV3 has a larger capacity over the traditional AA. However, with supply/demand the rechargeable AA has now have a capacity that makes it uneconomical to buy rechargeable CRV3. Also I believe that the voltage output on a rechargeable is 3.2v. So 3.2x2=6.4v is too much for a Pentax battery input. I wonder what will happen if you make up a power pack with two rechargeable CRV3s and plug it in the mains adaptor point on a pentax which has a input rating of 6.5v, I mean apart from having wires all over and flap doors opens ready for breaking off.

According to Pentax, the voltage in rechargeable CRV3s are higher than normal batteries.

Nice little tip for your DL2, you can extend the battery life many times by turning off the guide display and preview. That lcd screen chews up the power. Rechargable batteries is also a good purchase.

The DL2 is quite a nice camera with a good autofocus system. I also own a Nikon D200 and to be honest, unless you print pix bigger than A4, there isn't much quality difference between the two.

I own a sigma 28-300mm lens from my MZ series and was told since it didn't have a DG mark on it, it wouldn't be compatible with the DL2. WHAT RUBBISH! It was and it's something like 99% of pentax film lens will work on Pentax Digital.

DSLR is the way to go but it can be expensive and as for the 1.5x increase in the focal lenght, to be honest, I hardly notice the difference but then again if you don't own a wide angle, it may be a problem with landscapes.

Agfa is still going although very tricky to get a hold of. I get mine from asda. Very nice with the flash.
