As a motorsport fan, it's great to see some rally photos on the forum.
You'll find quite a bit of motorsport content, Simon. I'm a serial offender, but am by no means the only petrol-headed contributor...

Thanks to everybody for the positive feedback - and it's interesting to see that the Anglia shot seems to be so popular. I don't think this is purely a generational thing, even though most of us on here seem to remember the 1960s and '70s quite clearly. My son was with me, shooting with my old K-7, and didn't have a spare SD card when his was full. I handed him one of mine and the Anglia passed while were both facing away from the stage. He was as disappointed as I was to miss a shot of the day's most charismatic car...

Fact: he's 23.

Goldfinch, teasel, superb DOF control.

What's not to like? A fine shot, Barrie.

Racetrack gets a temporary makeover. The concept works well...

And I'm even later, as I've been out since 4.30am, covering 450 miles either side of several hours at a motorsport event (obviously).

Love the final shot, Carl - a very striking mono and powerful image on which to end. Thanks for a diverse and interesting cocktail.

I still feel a bit like that whenever I'm on a beach, Carl.

An absolutely charming shot: lovely colours, nicely framed and, as Alan mentioned, exquisitely timed.

Taken with K-5 IIs and DA 300 (except for #7, which was K-5 and Sigma 50-150)

Fruitful pastels, I'd say. I'd be tempted to chop a bit from the top, perhaps ending the frame slightly north of the pinkest cloud, and a centimetre or so from the bottom. To my mind that would make it better yet, and a little more balanced, but the exposure control and clarity are terrific.

However you opt to crop, it's a lovely image.

That. Just. Works.

As a professional northerner living in exile, I approve. The colours are equal parts vibrancy and loveliness: the absence of an obvious focal point matters not one jot because it is packed with all sorts of interesting detail.

It's a wonderful illustration of making the everyday look special - and underlines that I must have owned a particularly rubbish example of the 55-300. Everybody else seems to get fantastic results, but mine was woefully inconsistent.

This is terrific, Carl - steeped in atmosphere and very thoughtfully composed. I concur with others that the mono treatment is appropriate. I've seen lots of wonderful images in the '5' series, but this ranks among my favourites to date. Great work (and further testimony to the K20D's strengths).
