Can but concur with Andy's comment - a stunning final flourish.

I like that very much, Nigel. The weather is appropriate for mono - and the subject is likewise complementary. It could almost have been taken with a Spotmatic circa 1965.

That's lovely, Nigel - low-sun opportunism at its finest.

Love the opening landscape, Nigel - gorgeous colour, tone and composition.

I like the idea behind the second shot, but feel it might have worked better with the tractor in the foreground and the gulls beyond. As things stand (to my eye, a dubious barometer at best), the tractor's presence isn't immediately obvious and there isn't as strong a focal point as there might have been.

How did I just blow €800 before breakfast?

If anyone is is the market for a 35mm f2.4, keep your eyes peeled. That and a few other bits are likely to be on sale shortly, to offset my impetuousness of the past few minutes...

Concur with the above. The essence of autumn perfectly captured and a fine advertisement for Gwynedd tourism. As Gary mentioned, the water movement is particularly effective, too.

Very nice work.

I like the last one, Stephen, not least because I've tried similar shots and failed to capture anything that comes remotely close in terms of rich tones and sharp droplets. And as Andrew says, the DOF works splendidly, too.

That second shot, though, was to my mind the best of an excellent set - thanks very much for your input.

Are you referring to grim determination on the part of horse or rider, Andy? Both have priceless expressions...

Another terrific shot, Stephen.

This has lots of character and I like the processing, too - great tone and detail. I see similar expressions quite often from railway staff (usually when 200 people are trying to cram in a space big enough only for five on the London Overground)...

Stephen, I can but join the others in complimenting you on the second shot - absolutely wonderful and in my opinion among the finest photos to have been seen on PU in recent times.

The bull is lovely in terms of portraiture, but like others I'm distracted by the background - particularly the lady to the left of the frame.
