The reality is that this episode is turning into an unmitigated PR disaster for Apple. As a generalisation iPhone 4 owners are now looking not so much hip trendsetters as gormless sheep and that’s most unfortunate in the fashion accessory business.
And while alert to charges of schadenfreude - as well as the possibility, no matter how remote, that Apple will admit error - not too long ago you would have been easily forgiven for laughing out loud at the gods’ delicious sense of irony in punishing Apple’s hubris through the instrument of their ascent to the heavens: design.

The good news for Apple smart *and* phone lovers is that the design flaw can be easily rectified by affixing an inexpensive piece of duct tape - thickish but no bigger than a few inches - onto the bezel. How cool is that?

Welcome back Shaky. Ready to explain multitasking to me yet?
Don't care much for your name calling and aggressive bluster. Or your refusal to answer a straight question.

I've been looking at those Ortofon Concorde headshell/stylus things and trying to work out if they'd fit my turntable. I know mine has a bayonet-type fitting for the headshell which looks the same as the one I see on the Ortofon part, but I'm not sure how standard this fitting is?
However, I am personally highly sceptical you will be able to hear much difference at all, as long as it is a replacement for something decent on a deck with a bit of weight to it.
On the other hand for DJ use they are in a different class, since the low needle mounting provides significantly better stability when you are cueing, people are jumping around, etc.. (unless you are into scratching, in which case some say they make the tone arm a little light at the business end)

Jumping Ship from iPhone to Android: A Switcher's Guide
If you're sick of Apple's walled garden but have yet to make the jump from the iPhone to an Android handset, here's what to expect, how to adjust, and how to cope with certain app withdrawal.
Let me preface all of this by saying that for many—not all—the switch from iPhone to Android will feel like being covered in band-aids and ripping each one off over the course of a few weeks. This is not because there's anything particularly wrong with either mobile operating system, but because they have different paradigms. Android and iPhone feel different, look different, and accomplish things in sometimes very different manners. Nonetheless, they're both mobile operating systems with touch interfaces, so it's hard to avoid comparing the two and finding similarities between them.

A myth - as I said above - that Apple are in no rush to dispel. For example, a recent update to OS X added a new trojan signature to the virus handling subsystem, but very strangely the release notes made no mention of this whatsoever. Why do you think that is?
Linux is based on the same software architecture as OS X, but you won’t hear anybody from that community making such silly claims about virus free. More secure yes, virus free—don’t be stupid.

What was the point of this other than 'I hate Apple and will use any opportunity to slag em off?'
Get a grip.

App Store, iTunes Accounts Hacked.
Two iPhone App developers have spotted what appears to be a hacking of the App store rankings by a rogue developer. The rankings in the books category of the US iTunes store features 40 out of 50 apps by the same app developer, Thuat Nguyen.
What’s more concerning is that it seems individuals iTunes accounts have been hacked to make mass purchases of that one developer’s apps.
. . .Some users who have had their accounts hacked have left comments on the apps they have supposedly bought complaining that up to $200 has been spent on apps they’d never personally bought themselves. (update: we’ve now heard reports of $600+ spent on some users accounts, more details at the foot of this post)

Consumer Reports. . .this is the equivalent of Which Magazine doing a thorough DSLR test and awarding the prize to the one with the most pixels!
Indeed they should be applauded for admitting they made an error of omission in the initial testing process, but then again their credibility is much more important to them than sticking to the initial line, particularly now that overwhelming new evidence on reception is available.
why the vile hatred?
I certainly don’t hate Apple or Steve Jobs, although I do as a rule dislike and distrust bullshit merchants. However, I have dealt with more than enough CEOs to realise that this trait is far from the exception.
What disturbs me in particular with this situation though is the fawning cult of personality, infallibility and blind acquiescence that has built up around Jobs amongst his internal and external acolytes. Now I am a firm believer in religious freedom, and will defend to the hilt people’s right to worship whatever they want, be it a recognised deity, limited liability company, or corporate CEO.
However, when this is combined with Jobs’ habit of telling porkies and liberally dispensing propaganda bullshit, and the evident unshakable conviction that he knows what is best for his followers in everything from how to hold their phone to what their personal morals should be, the whole thing starts to take on a distinctly sinister totalitarian tone.
That may sound extreme but I believe it is largely defensible philosophically. Nevertheless I don’t seriously believe their is any risk to democracy from Jobs becoming supreme leader, but I reserve to right to expose these tendencies in whatever manner I see fit, since the conscious and unconscious yearning for totalitarian order is not in as small a minority as I would wish. And I do hate that.
