£1199 at that price i'm definitely moving full time onto nikon when the K200D dies of death. I recently payed a good price for D300 and its a fantastic bit of kit. forgive my being presumptuous, but i cant see the K7 being as good as the D300, when you consider the cost of the D300 is the same or less depending on where you shop. and thats with the 2 prices hikes by nikon this year!

Argh, i could not bring myself to buy a canon. Thats why i bought a nikon D300, It's a beast. I use if for wildlife shoots, but the pentax is used for mostly still life's, portraits and do-cu style shooting using the wonderful pentax-A 1.7 50mm lens.

a mac user for 2 years now and like many mac users i would never go back to windows full time. I do however run a virtual XP from within the mac using VMWare, so i get the best of both. I recommend you make sure your desktop mac gets at least 4 gigs of ram, but don't upgrade the ram via apple as they charge ridiculous prices for it. Check out KRCS(official apple resellers) for your mac as they have some good deals on extra memory when you purchase a Mac from them. They also have some ex display imac's for £600
