IS MY K20D Repaired Yet**** **NO****

Hi all good news and bad news,

Bad News First, phoned Pentax/Johnsons about K20D is it repaired please or could you advice of return date please.

Answer? Not repaired think tech' man ordering parts today and No return date, I will ring you back Sir. Has not rang back.

Good News...I can take pictures again with my NEW Canon 50D, will still keep the K100D Super so not going 100% to the dark side. But waiting

7 weeks up till today and only just today ordering parts, and No ring back, thats it I'v done with Pentax..No more waiting

what happened to the oly,

also the 50d sound a good bit of kit, but 9 focus points,

I only use one on my K10D.

i make the most of all 11 of mine and use them all alot, will be interesting to see what other people use,

also i found the sony a350 i had the wide focus points were not that wide,

Likewise here Scott, I have mine set to user select and I tend to move that focus point around quite a bit

What happened to requiring in-body SR?
You could've bought an extra K20D for the price of the 50D... and you could still have pushed Pentax for some kind of remuneration or recompense

Drop by once in a while, I know your wife has a pentax but that's not the only reason to drop by here

I've got 51 focus points, but usually only use one of them. (Or seemingly none of them if you see most of my photos! )

That Oly you were thinking of is a nice bit of kit, but the lenses are eye wateringly expensive, but Canon make some beauties, as I'm sure you already know.

Mainly the MP-E 65 .. probably the only reason I would swap my Pentax kit atm.

To be honest it is probably why the lenses (Zooms) are so eye wateringly good

I wasn't doubting that, but I was more commenting how it's an awful lot of money for most non-pro photographers to lay out...

Not necessarily The L70-200/2.8 didn't seem half as sharp as the DA*50-135 wide open In fact, if you check out the MTF charts for many Canon L series lenses the Pentax equivalent still tops them. (Plus the fact I much prefer the Pentax bokeh!)

Though the L series glass is full frame - and correspondingly heavier
