i have a organised a surprise party for my wifes birthday in october, and have booked a live rock band to play. the setting is in a club, so quite dark with stage lighting etc. i really want to get some good images of the event, the band and also of friends and family etc.
so, considering the limited kit i have, what settings do you think would be best i.e. av or tv, auto? iso etc.
i have a pentax kr with 18-55kit lens, and also a tamron 28-250 and 70-300. i also have a metz 50af-1 flashgun.
buying or renting a fast lens is not an option, it must be with what i have.
any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
kind regards,
simon.

however, i have read on a different thread that this can cause fungus in the lens (being in a warm, dark place).
is there a "correct" way to store equipment, and is what im doing really likely to cause fungus?

Comment by scarr1 posted on what do YOU do with your photos? at 11/06/2012 - 10:22
when i had a film camera, i just got the roll developed and would end up with 24 or 36 photos which would be looked at a few times then put in the cupboard, shoebox, album etc etc etc.
with digital though its very convenient to delete the ones you dont want, but all too easy to still end up with hundreds on an sd card. so what do you do from there? do you print them all off or just print off a few "better" ones....print at home or "send them away" to be printed, or do you even print them? copy to cd to be viewed on a tv or computer?
so, what do YOU do?
i feel like im just snapping away for the sheer fun of it, but with not a lot end product so to speak.
any advice would be most welcome.
regards,
simon.

it may be co-incidence, but last night i checked the price again...still showing £47.75.
i ran a scan on my laptop and cleared all the tracking cookies, adware etc.
went back on amazon and low and behold...price now £35.98!!!!!!
ordered one while the going was good.
johnha....there may be some truth in that.

Looking to buy a k5 mk1, if anyone has one for sale. Would prefer it to be somewhere in tyne and wear so i can collect and pay cash. I live in washington and work in newcastle if thats any help.
Its for my sons 21st birthday so would prefer it to be boxed with manuals, leads etc, and possibly a kit lens though not essential.
There is one on ebay local to me for £350, body and battery grip (non pentax)...would that be a fair price or a bit on the expensive side.
Any replies would be most welcome.
