I had the genuine Pentax grip for the K10D but bought a cheapo copy for the K-7. Slushy wheels: true. Thin paint: true.

But I like it for the shape and the position of the shutter button for verticals. Nowt else. I don't even put batteries in it.

I've been using 7dayshop for four or five years for all my 35mm and 120 film needs. Good prices and very quick, and sometimes with genuine cheap deals.

Just ordered me another 10 rolls of Neopan400.

Boots sell prepaid slide film but I have no idea what the cost/quality is like.

Using an SPII again after a long while you may need to check that the meter is still good at all ISO levels. My Spotmatic was accurate at 100 but couldn't handle ISO 1600 for some reason - everything seriously underexposed.

He's good, and consistent. But by page 3 I was thinking "Enough already" ...

Neopan 1600 has surprised me with its sharpness dev'd in Ilford DDX - with a 10% reduction in dev time as box speeds tend to exaggerate contrast. I'll be using more of that.

Neopan 400 is what I use most of the time, (or Acros) again dev'd in DDX with a 10% reduction in dev time. I'm gutted that they don't make it in 120 anymore.

Hehee ... yeah, it's not much of a kitchen. That's 50 year-old peeling paint. Makes for good bokeh though.

LOL.

I'm happy to say that no adjustment of focus was necessary for any of these lenses on my K-7.

Nothing particularly scientific, just hand-held with the ruler at 45 degrees against the (kitchen) wall. All three at f/2.

Or three reasons to be cheerful, if you prefer ...

You can have a guess, but I'll post up my three reasons later.

You can get a 49>52 step up adapter ring.

Check recent eBay prices for its 'value'.

If you manual focus then there's some difference between using an f4 lens and an f1.9 !!

Depends what you want by macro? Close up, or 1:1? Good quality diopter filter rings on the front of the lens are very useful, +3 say, or +4.

And a reversing ring works brilliantly with the 43mm ...

Just saying, you know.
