Thanks all for your inputs!
I will be needing a tele lens for primarily sports (the children playing soccer, swimming etc) but also wild life (primarily deer).
So speed will be an important issue but obviously also range so I´m leaning towards the 200mm+TC combo although I am a bit put off by the various comments about the 200mm and PF though.
Would love to hear your experience Nathan if ever you were to put it on your K10D and do a comparison

One option would be to go for the DA* 300mm f4.0. Alternatively I have been considering the DA* 200mm f2.8 and combine it with a very goog teleconverter (Pentax 1.4 or 1.7), which would give me more flexibility.
How would the IQ compare between the two?

I understand that using an old flash with a new digital camera may be hasardous as to the amount of electricity generated.
I have an old AF200S flash in the drawer but have been hesitant as to put in on my K10D.
Has anybody tried this/knowledge about it? Is it safe?

Having been on the lookout for a cheap second camera house I´ve found a well kept istD.
It seems this has been rather well reviewed in the past.
But in the present day and time do you forum members who own one of these (old) houses still find yourselves using it? or have you all upgraded and are only using the newer models?
