Its true. An average shooter will take average photos that are better exposed and sharper with a great camera. People forget Cartier Bresson and the like often shot with just one 35mm lens using a film with a fixed iso. Their kit was primitive compared to a K3.

yes, I did know about the one/s from SRS. still surprised it went so cheap considering how good it is (I used it professionally as recently as last month). That said, am loving the k-3 and all the improvements of it!!
The older is gear is still quite capable (just got a mint K10). Enjoy your new camera!

sold for the rock-bottom price of £126 !
Wow ...scary
Not really, for a body only. Chiswick Cameras are selling one for £150 and that includes 3 month guarantee. SRS sell them for around £170 but that includes 12 month guarantee. Private sellers can't provide any of course.

I like the close ups, its nice to see the detail. 1 and 2 are my favourites.

Wow. Not just a great photographer, but a visionary IMHO! His landscape images are as close as I've seen photos come to abstract impressionism. Thanks so much for the introduction.

Agreed, his ability to find abstracts in nature was extrordinary. I'd never heard of him before.

It was looking tired and unloved so I completely revamped it. I kept the design simple so not to distract from the images.

There's bound to be a few more tweaks needed.

I would try taking michaelblue's crop plus a little more off the left for a rectangular shape then burn in the flower bud to push it into the background. The long stem and flower on its own would make a good picture.

That 35-70mm has become my favorite lens in recent months, although on a DSLR it becomes around 50-105mm which suits me just fine.

There are some good pictures on your website, keep it up.

If no one sees your work. What indeed is the point ? Self gratification is a lonely place...
Just my approach to things. I don't think anyone takes much notice of shots they've seen dozens of times before. An original shot of a familar subject would be different though.
