Thanks for your replies.
For more information I add this from the article,

"Gravy stops are the zones that will probably show up but that I don’t personally count on: if they are there, great; if not, but I don’t rely on them."

This is the title of the article: Next Stop: The Last Stop! RED MX Latitude Tests(2) by Art Adams.

Thanks.

Hi. I am reading an article regarding photography and there are some sentences I can not understand.
Could you explain what it means?
It goes as below;

"I tend to be very conservative when it comes to exposure, dividing the dynamic range of a camera into “paycheck stops” and “gravy stops.” Paycheck stops are the zones upon which you can reliably place information that will definitely be reflected in a normally graded final image, and which won’t cost you your job when something that’s supposed to be visible there doesn’t show up in dailies."

The underlined part is where I need your help. English is not my first language.
Thanks for your help.

I can see plenty reasons to choose and stay with pentax.
I bought a second hand k-5 and had a problem with its sensor.
Luckily, I received a new camera because of its sensor stain.
Then, I could not get clear photos, so I checked its focus and found that my 50mm 1.4 lens needed a focus adjustment. I also found that the manual focus was not quite accurate under f 2.0. I felt really annoyed with these things yesterday.
I have good memories about canon cameras and lenses and liked its color and the system.
I bought 60d and 28-135mm for my partner and she seems happy with it.

I guess I need to experience pentax more to know its real value.
I agree with most of your comments and reasons and that is why I chose pentax.
I wondered if that was really enough to stay with pentax.
I think it is worth try and experience more.
Thanks for your comments.

Hi.
I bought k-5 a couple of months ago. I chose pentax because I heard that they had cheaper and good lenses than other brands. Now I have 18-55 wr, A 50mm 1.4 and A 28mm 2.8 lenses with K-5. When I check most of pentax af lenses, the prices of them do not look cheaper than good lenses of other brands. The choice of lens is limited and the prices are not cheaper, then why do you stick to pentax? To be honest, I feel bit disappointed, but it does not mean I am not happy with my k-5. I am slightly annoyed with the prices of pentax lenses and feel disappointed in my choice.
Maybe I am bit too critical tonight. What makes you stick to pentax?
Thanks for reading and responding.

Hi.
I am quite content with the result and willing to spend £60 for it.
I was not sure what it was and wanted to check with the seller before I did anything.
He seemed quite clear that he was nothing to do with the problem.
Now I am waiting for the new camera which is going to be delivered tomorrow.
Thanks all.
Mike! I really appreciate your help.

Hi.
I phoned JP repair centre today and heard that the spot was a sensor stain.
I spent around 60 pounds to find out what it was.
However, I am getting a new camera. They are sending it to me tomorrow and I will receive it on Thursday.
Huge relief and very pleased with the service and the result.
Thanks for all your advice and support.

Hi.
Thanks for your replies.
I will send it to JP ltd today and see what they say.
I may need to inform ebay this issue to save some time not to go over 45 days period considering the advise given above.
I really hope it is a sensor stain or dust.
This is a lovely camera and I want to keep it.
Thanks.

I also informed the seller and he seemed very upset about it.
He already contacted ebay and says they think it is my fault and he will not refund.
It looks quite messy.
I may need to pay for the repair.
I just want the camera working o.k.
I like the camera and the picture quality.
It is not going well.
Thanks.
