I am doing a course at the local college and one of the tasks is to take a long exposure shot at night, but I can only seem to get it to go to 30 seconds, bulb means I have to hold my finger on the button. Is there a way of setting a longer exposure (I have lost my manual).

Thanks in advance

Please forgive my lack of knowledge, I have recently bought a K-x as my first digital SLR, it comes woith a zoom lens (18-55mm), but I have been looking at buying another lens and am interested in the pentax da 50-200mm ed wr lens, which seems a good price for a novice like me.

My query is, the write ups say it does not have a switch to move from AF to MF and i have enrolled in a course that requires the ability to shoot manual as well as AF, does the lack of this switch prevent manual settings or is there another method.

Thanks.

Please forgive my inexperience, I have recently bought a Kx and was trying it out and cannot figure out how to shoot in B&W, I cannot find how in the manual and have trawled through the onboard camera menu. My Fuji instant does it, so I am assuming my new SLR should as well. Thanks.

Hi everyone, just got myself the K-x with a kit zoom (19-55mm). I have had a digital compact for some years and decided to move up to the next level. I used to have a Pentax ME film camera many years ago and thought Pentax would be best for me having been used to a film camera of the same brand (although 20 yrs ago).

I have got a couple of K fit lenses from film days, can anyone give me a bit of general advice as to the pro's and con's of using such lenses and what a suitable (budget) flash would be.

Many thanks

Steve
