Hi everyone, just got myself the K-x with a kit zoom (19-55mm). I have had a digital compact for some years and decided to move up to the next level. I used to have a Pentax ME film camera many years ago and thought Pentax would be best for me having been used to a film camera of the same brand (although 20 yrs ago).

I have got a couple of K fit lenses from film days, can anyone give me a bit of general advice as to the pro's and con's of using such lenses and what a suitable (budget) flash would be.

Pentax K-5 with D-GB4 Grip, to many lenses to mention by now (serious LBA by now), TC's, Lowepro Slingshot 300 AW, Manfrotto 028 & Redsnapper RS-283 with various Heads plus various Camera Clamps (I collect them). Pentax AF 360FGZ, Pentax AF 240FT, several Metz 45 CT-1 & 5 with stands and 'Blow Up' Soft Boxes, Flash Triggers, and various Macro gear.

G'day and welcome, you've picked a very good camera - excellent sensor etc (which I'm sure you knew).

There's a forum on this site for lenses, and another for flash photography. You may find those useful.

Hi rover49. Welcome to the forum.. I too bought the Kx three months ago..Im having loads of fun with..though the cameras photography skills outweigh mine at present...lol
