It’s time I visited the optician, I thought this thread was about sex grips!

Thanks again folks. Bill, if you have seen Thomas Heaton’s YouTube videos on woodland photography you will know he loves an isolated highlit tree, the trouble is now when I see one I cannot help but question whether it’s because of his influence or of my own volition! Consequently I have cut down on the YouTubes I watch as whilst they can be informative there is a danger one’s work becomes derivative.
Stupid, stupid, stupid! That's how I am feeling after my old Dyson hand vac battery died and on impulse ordered a Gtec equivalent in the Black Friday sale. A replacement Dyson compatible battery on Amazon is 31 quid, why didn't I think of that earlier? What a dope.

Given that the adapters with hot shoes on top will activate a flash attached as well as at the end of a cable, in theory it should. Best to try and see. Alternatively get connectors for your trigger mounts as they will give better coordination and settings.

Looks like a large budgie to me! A lovely bird nicely captured.

Thanks all for your kind comments. David, when I first looked out is was dark and foggy so went back to bed! Then the rising sun momentarily lit up the fog with an orange glow and I was kicking myself for not getting out earlier, but as the fog turned to mist I still had time to get to the woods.
What a gift this morning with the mist/fog hanging around for a while so I headed to the nearest wood, where the sun just started to break through. With the constantly changing light it was difficult to decide where to frame next, trees and bracken suddenly being spotlit by the sun only for it to disappear moments later. Anyhow here are a few to give a flavour:
My Mum was a bit snobbish about Ken Dodd, too much of the tickling sticks and diddymen for her taste: until we played her a video "An audience with Ken Dodd" and she has never laughed so much in her life!

Shops shut at 8pm, no pubs, no cafes, no restaurants open. Many will never open again.
Tuesday we expect the government to say Christmas is off. Just another day in paradise.
