Usual walk down to the paper shop so I took my K1 + 150-450mm in the hope of catching the kingfisher again, but an egret was there instead. But better still as the mud was frozen I walked back along the river path and spotted this chap sunning himself on the opposite bank at 10.00 in the morning; he spotted me at the same time so I just had time for a couple of hasty shots before he sauntered off. So glad that just for once I had the right kit ready and waiting!

And here is the egret, although I managed some better shots last year in the same place:

Probably. I saw my GP today and he said a lot of people had reported side effects.

Old Taffy, if I had had an infection I can guarantee there would have been symptoms! I happened to check my blood pressure that night and it was through the roof! All I have now is a slightly sore arm so all good.

I far prefer the colour version Gareth, he looks like he is getting on in years which the colour captures more. The poor animal looks very sad, gazing dejectedly at you, your photo captures a life spent in captivity for our amusement.

It is good to spend time in your archives revisiting older photos, occasionally you come across a gem which was unappreciated at the time.

Received the COVID jab yesterday and had the worst night, I couldn’t stop shivering despite extra blankets, and not a wink of sleep. Mrs RobL of course had no symptoms whatsoever.

As a starting point ask SRS for a part exchange price, they are pretty fair.

Well here is a surprise, I left a copy of the book with the allotment committee and they have asked for the cost of up to 150 copies!

Val Doonican? Really?

As this is included in the Photoshop subscription I decided to give it a go (well its something to pass the time in lockdown!) so here is my first project:link

Discovered a mobile chippie visits the village on Saturday nights so tonight a fish supper with mushy peas! I couldn’t wait for it to come down my road so found it with a tracker - great idea.
