An unusual and interesting take of the dying flowers, were they focus stacked by any chance?

Sad news indeed about the duke.

But why has ALL BBC programming been changed so we get nothing but drivel by non entities about how they once saw him from the back of a room/ in a car/ at a function?!!

Life has to go on for the rest of us, don't just stop everything and give no choice, after all it's the public that pay for the BBC NOT the state.

Sorry

Rant over.
I feel the same whenever the football season starts!

I suspect the rear screen is fixed for two reasons: to keep the body as slim as possible so as to more closely resemble a mirrorless, and to maximise its size. I agree though it is a regrettable decision.

Sadly not entirely unexpected news about Prince Philip. I remember as a lad finding a library book of his sea life photographs taken from the Royal Yacht, taken of course on a Hasselblad. I decided then that I would need the same to be as good, and am still waiting a lifetime later!

Considering that a retailer would have to check an exchanged product, repair any faults and sell with a warranty, photo and post on their website and add a small profit to boot, it isn’t surprising you would get more on eBay. Against that is the saving of hassle in walking into the shop with one camera and coming out with another without risk.

If they have a Chinese Certificate of Quality then they must be good! I heard of a U.K. couple with a small family firm who became multimillionaires over the last twelve months supplying PPE equipment; at the same time a friend has received an award for organising volunteers including the High Sheriff of Warwick to make and supply free equipment for care staff.

Well that’s my magnolia blossom ruined by frost this year, the stupid plant always flowers just before a cold snap.

But I don't have a shift lens (one day perhaps), so I have to straighten them in software; is there one for K-mount APS-C?

Philip

(P.S. I think Shelley needs a slight clockwise rotation.)
I have the Samyang 24mm TS lens which is very sharp and has proved excellent for buildings. It ideally has to be used on a tripod and of course you don’t have the problem of cropping as you get with software correction. The only issue I have is the control knobs are a bit small and fiddly but I have found that using my left hand to help lift the lens in shift mode works fine. It is designed for FF and I use it on a K1 and when the subject justifies it, like a church interior, in pixel shift so it should be ok on an APS-C body as well.

It is of course a manual lens for focus and aperture control but the wide angle give good depth of field, and distortion is minimised as you set it up perfectly level and then frame using the shift function.

Are we not getting too bogged down with this? If you don’t want to pay the U.K. price then either take your partner for a weekend in New York or Paris (when you can) and pop into the Pentax shop there, or wait for the Black Friday deals later in the year.

Please can we now have the autofocus, frame rate, ISO performance, new processor in a new K1 mkIII please - but without sacrificing GPS and movable rear screen?
