I'm a bit confused because isn't the Sony full frame as well? I am not in a position to compare but I have been really pleased with the K-1. Worth comparing expected shutter count as if it is to last then durability is important, the K-1 is 300,000. Also the WR could be a factor. Tough call.

Only 20kg! Respect, reminiscent of early landscape pioneers who trailed around with a large plate camera and wooden tripod. There's me worrying whether an extra kilo for another lens in the bag would be too much.

Thanks Gareth I will look at that. I was trying different lenses and there are three used in this set, the last two being the 100mm macro. The first was the 28-105mm and the next two the 15-30mm; it was surprising (to me) how much brighter the 15-30mm was which was obvious looking at the results on camera.

Like a couple of others I peered through the curtains this morning and thought the fog looked promising, so here goes:
All taken on a tripod with 2 sec delay and the white balance warmed up in Lightroom to bring out the leaf colours.

Some of my best and favourite photos are ones I took with my K50. However there were a number of rejects where the light conditions were more demanding, which is where the K-1 really comes into its own. The benefit of the larger sensor is not just big prints but the much greater dynamic range available when lighting is poor as in church interiors, or contrasty as in dramatic sunsets.
