There is a regular stream of K1s on Ebay too - people can't get rid of them fast enough, or at least it appears so by comparison with the number of K5s and K3s that you don't see. I was initially tempted but seeing so many I began to wonder why?
Just taken a look, there is just one pre-owned UK listing and the rest are new grey imports or ‘pre-owned’ from Japan priced in US dollars. How many have we seen on this forum? Considering the thousands that have been sold that would indicate that unless traded for a different brand nearly all have kept theirs.

Most site workers use iPhones for photos, and send them to whomever. This looks good for outdoors though. How come different ranges of lenses to suit different megapixels?

That’s good, you usually have to fight your way through the Nikon crowd to get anywhere.

Thx - also, what were the aperture and shutter settings for your shot above?
Mine was ISO 100, F16 and 1/100 sec. This underexposed slightly and I boosted highlights and contrast in LR. Here it is cropped more:

Looking at super photos on the news feeds the best colours were seen just after moonrise, by the time I saw it higher in the sky the colour looked normal. Was that anyone else’s experience?

Just thought - anyone with a K1 could try crop sensor in aps-c mode which is like a teleconverter on an FF lens. If it’s clear again i’ll give it a go. Very least I could manually focus better.

Here's mine with the K1 + 150-450mm, manual focus. As jeallen01 said it was too bright for live view but I forgot that the screen can be dimmed. Grabbed a shot between clouds with a 2-sec delay.

Dunno why but this isn't as sharp as the copy on my monitor.

Slightly sore head after evening in pub with old pal - I’m such a lightweight! Also suffering from another attack of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) but every delivery is met with “Oh not more stuff for that b****y camera!” so thought if I traded in three aps-c lenses I haven’t used for a while then I could argue I have actually reduced the stockpile. Trouble is one of them is the 10-17mm fisheye and having looked at it again cannot bear to part with it, it is small but beautifully formed and takes very sharp images. So, more devious tactics required......
