Oh really?!

Maybe it will come left field and a new medium format is launched?

Using an iPhone as a hotspot you can surf the net with the iPad anywhere without needing a separate contract. Handy on trips away from home.

End of sale? Not end of production, that post is very ambiguous. Funny it’s still available everywhere else, Ricoh UK has 10% off until end of March.

Fear not, that’s an error spreading like fake news. It’s the K-01 that’s discontinued.

Ok so you don’t want an iPad but take a look at the iPad mini which I have, not too expensive and after daily use still works like new. Bonus is I can tether it to the K1 (and probably anything else with WiFi) and is small enough not to notice in a camera bag.

In many respects the Pentax bodies punch above their weight when compared to other brands, so I wonder what the response would be if the wish lists resulted in price hikes on new versions. The K-1 currently performs in certain respects as well or better than a Nikon D850 or Canon 5D IV which are 60% more expensive but what if a mark II version with mega focusing, 4K video etc cost the same? Be careful what you wish for.

Rumourmongers on YouTube are predicting a K-3 III later this year. Also a K-1 II.

You have some amazing creatures there, nice shot.

I’ve had a jolly day too - rush of blood to the head led to some early spring cleaning and managed to knock a large bowl of filthy water over the landing carpet. Luckily have a carpet cleaner so sucked most up but then had to shampoo the whole carpet. Then herself complained about the state of her car after I drove it into a farmyard yesterday (it’s a 4x4, mine ain’t) so spent the rest of the afternoon jetwashing it. Time for photography? If only. Time for a large malt though.
