Image sync works fine on an iPad, you can touch focus anywhere. I used it for a passport selfie.

Thanks both, I was pleased with how well the tracking focus worked, contrary to the conventional view that this is a Pentax weakness. All are taken with a K-1 and a DFA 150-450mm, handheld. Lennybloke, yes the images are a bit small but I reduced them to download or it would have taken all day! They are all cropped a bit a well.

Or, I think about a Samyang 24mm that I've just seen at a good price... argh
I have a Samyang 24mm TS and it is very sharp, BUT no Samyangs have electronic connections to the body so manual focus only.

Hi Gwyn, it arrived here too this morning, like a switch had been thrown! Suddenly everything has exploded into life in the garden, flowers, insects, weeds! Back to normal tomorrow with rain forecast.

Welcome! Maybe see if you can hire a 15-30mm for the shoot from SRS Microsystems. An alternative approach could be a slightly longer lens and take multiple images to stitch together in Lightroom, that way you would end up with less distortion.

I've been looking at the SMC Pentax-F 17-28mm f/3.5-4.5 Fisheye Zoom on ffordes website for quite a while, and then I had a birthday. I already had a Wonderful Wife, and she bought it for me.

It works brilliantly on the K-1, so I'll look forward to posting some pictures very soon. It was labelled Ex++ by ffordes, but it's actually spotless, so that suggests we can buy secondhand from them with confidence.

She sounds wonderful. My wife is wonderful too but more likely to say “not another b****y lens!”

In a review somewhere I read that the battery demand is higher with the Mk II so the number of shots will be less.
Follow the link in my first post.

I knew I had seen it somewhere!
