I use the Lee big stopper, and I have noticed that on a very wide lens like the FA 15-30mm it gives noticeable vignetting. This I think is because the resin material contains the tint so at the sides the light passes through the filter obliquely and thus through a greater thickness. This would not happen on a surface coated glass filter like the more expensive Lee ProGlass, and is quite fiddly to remove in post-processing. The resin ones do, as Gareth says, have a bluish cast but that can be readily compensated for; its worth either adjusting white balance in camera (use “shade” or “cloudy”), or taking a shot without filters to record the colour temperature.

Anyhow, on a different topic, isn’t it time we had a “latest post”? Christmas is long gone.

or just wind the windows down
How? Normally the glass drops a centimetre when the door latch is opened to release from the head seal; it’s now stuck to the roof. You mean leave the windows open all night? Anyhow with rear wheel drive it’s useless on anything slippery, just won’t go up hills, and I don’t fancy getting it sandblasted by the gritters and selfish drivers.

It appears to me that the model has no hands and as a result can't sign the form for themselves. Perhaps you could sign it on their behalf as their 'guardian'!

I did think of signing one with a cross and telling them it was all he could manage holding a pen in his mouth, but their legal section might not see the funny side.

Brill!! - Whose head is it anyway?
Ah, that raises a new conundrum - suppose the head is from a different body, do I need two releases?

I have just sent the following request so await their reply: "Rejected due to no model release. As the model is right handed he would have to put his head down to sign but then wouldn't be able to see the form. I suppose I could have held his head for him though. Any ideas?"

I have just had this image rejected by Shutterstock because it doesn't have a model release. Any suggestions?

Listen to us all! Do you reckon in 50 years the millennials will be reminiscing how the central heating would go below 22C in the middle of winter?
