Remember to use the viewfinder blind to prevent stray light entering and affecting the exposure.

My mirror lens works.....well in fact, for what it is.
Experimented with slower shutter speeds and higher ISO...getting the hang of this...it doesn't bight after all. Histograms very useful and delayed release to reduce shake...SR on. Just ordered a remote from SRSmicrosystems
Right eye has aneurysm, right eye dominant...well that's my excuse...blame it on the mirror
Thanks for advice.

If it is a fixed aperture K-mount lens you can just stick it on the K20D, use manual and press the green button to get a light reading.
Cheers, Kris.

Robin,
Was Constitution that steep?
I remember having to walk up Mount Pleasant and Pen-y-Graig Road to get to Pant-y-Celyn Road that overlooked the quarry.
The quarry behind Heathfield? I schooled in Gregg High School. Me and the class fool nearly got expelled for flashing cars on the Kingsway (when the Plaza was there) with a huge mirror from the top of the quarry one summer.
I got my CIMA qual in WGIHE, Mt Pleasant...small world!
Driving test hill-starts used to be conducted on Constitution hill....although I passed in Llanelli when I was 17...it still seemed steep...Tenby pub on the bottom road (Walter Road)...reknowned for its scrumpy in the back room.
Why didn't you say before?
Recognise this?

It does not hit the sensor, but the light meter and will result in under exposure. Your eye/face is normally adequate to stop stray light entering.
Try it out - take two successive pictures, one with the viewfinder open and another with it closed. It will be worse when you have bright sunlight shining into it.
