I remember having to walk up Mount Pleasant and Pen-y-Graig Road to get to Pant-y-Celyn Road that overlooked the quarry.

The quarry behind Heathfield? I schooled in Gregg High School. Me and the class fool nearly got expelled for flashing cars on the Kingsway (when the Plaza was there) with a huge mirror from the top of the quarry one summer.
I got my CIMA qual in WGIHE, Mt Pleasant...small world!
Driving test hill-starts used to be conducted on Constitution hill....although I passed in Llanelli when I was 17...it still seemed steep...Tenby pub on the bottom road (Walter Road)...reknowned for its scrumpy in the back room.
Why didn't you say before?

Don't remember to much about Swansea though. My step-father was from there and his family lived on Pant-y-Celyn and we would visit twice a year. We would be taken down the path and steps from there to Singleton Park, and then walk back up Mount Pleasant. It tired us out.
Then in later life, a friend went to University there and on numerous visits we would do the "Mumbles Run".
