Cause my Mrs to be would take body parts if I handed over a couple of £K to the nice people at SRS, especially as we are popping over to visit on the 9th Dec and she'll be there beside me.
I think she wants to get the 35Ltd for me (herself really), she likes the idea of macro
I just want to have a play with the f2.4 and then give it as a Christmas present to my Father in law to be, he has a K20D so it'll be a nice fit. Its a bit slow for me now that I've got a 50 f1.2, picked that up a few weeks ago... so I have to calm down a bit on the lba, cba, etc, etc

Yeah, I asked SRS if they would do me a deal with the K-5 and the DA35 f2.4, unfortunately no was the answer. I'm popping over next month for my birthday, maybe face to face I can haggle a bit better
It looks like a nice little offering for the money.

Its a pity Pentax do not offer this as a kit lens with the dslrs. It would be a great way of introducing people to the magical world of primes with the extra flexability DOF wise. I am curious about this lens, I have nothing wider than 43mm at the moment, well excluding the 16-45, but that is boxed away waiting for a new home

very tempted ! but can't see any outstanding reason to upgrade from my K10 !? anyone want to persuade me ??
I'll try , Extra 4 million pixels, bigger screen at the back, the extra 2mm on the 16 makes a massive difference, ahm, improved af, improved iso, no need for debug mode to really tune in your lenses. The grip and batteries will also work on your K10 as will the cards. Even the focussing screens are interchangeable. Live view for your macro?..

Thanks for the feedback Don
Will have another go at pp. ISO was only 320. As to the levelling, thats the perspective playing games I think , I used the left hand window as a datum.

Took this on Thursday night using my latest lens acquisition, a marvellous K50 f1.2
Stopped down it sharpens up very nicely indeed. I cropped a little as half of the building is covered in scaffolding and changed the colour temp using Lightroom 3.2
