Well, not much response. So I guess no-one is really bothered or they are happy with what the site already has.

How about long term competitions. An annual competition with a seperate category to enter each month (landscape, potrait, macro etc.) Points are awarded for top ten places each month. Person with the most points at the end of the year gets a free subscription to the magazine for the following year?

As i said, I do like the challenges on another site.

Basically someone posts a shot of a church, and invites others to post the same subject and viewers get to vote for the best shot.

There are no time restraints and anyone gets to set the subject simply by uploading the first image.

Anyone used this that can tell me how it compares to Lightroom?

I used to be a linux user but moved back to windows becouse of my photography. Would love to move back to linux and i am now thinking this could be good enough to allow me to do so.

Me too, its something i struggle with.

On wedding shoots i usually ask the bride and groom to kiss, then say "now everyone kiss" and wait for the reaction.

That will only work at a wedding though obviousley.

anyone else got suggestions?

Centre weighted is used for portraits where you want the metering on a specific subject or part of the shot.

Sorry but I have to disagree with everyone on these shots.

I`m affraid I dont like them much at all. Not your fault though as you were not the main tog !

He has chosen the worst possible locations for the group shots. Everyone has a different level of light on thier faces with horrible shadows being cast accross all of them. The background isnt great either.

You have really sharp well focused images, which is as much as you could do not being the main tog.

The detail shots are really nice, were they taken with the same lens?

Slightly off topic but I think people should be aware of it.

As soon as you upload a photo to Facebook you are effectively signing over all your rights to the image to Facebook. They can use the image for whatever purpose they desire without having to pay you a penny or even let you know they are using it !!
