I'm going on a short business trip to Chennai and have been thinking about whether to take my KP and a couple of DA limited lenses (21mm, 40mm, 70mm) and maybe the Pentax-F 35-70.. It's a pretty discrete setup especially with the old tilt screen and hold at waist method.

Has anyone travelled to Chennai with camera gear? How safe did you feel using it? Are there any cultural or legal issues to be especially aware of?

Thanks for the suggestion about pushing up the exposure. I do have the raw files and will have a play with it once I get home and upload to the PC.

Grabbed my KP and 55-300 PLM on a road trip from Stuttgart into Franconia. It’s such a handy and compact combo.

We saw loads of storks in the fields and one village had about 20 nests occupied.

I’ve been a bit preoccupied with other things for a while but stopped in today hoping to see some posts of last night’s show in the sky.

Here are a couple of a toad, or is it a frog? How do you tell the difference.

Stunning, all of them but my favourite is the one looking through the arch for the contrast and flash of green.

I haven’t stopped by for ages and logged in today hoping to see exactly this sort of thing.

I saw this fine creature hovering above us on a walk in the vineyards with the dog today. I don‘t think she was planning to eat us.
