first thanks for the responses. i use pse8 and in answer to Paul it,s both grads and full. grads not usually a problem unless stacking to get5 or 6 stops ,the hitech 10 stop is the worst just get a beautiful magenta photo, with the software i have it looks like gareth may have the answer. the other option for the 10 stop i was thinking of perhaps the b&w 110 as i probably would only use it on the 16-45
thanks once again

probably done before but what is the easiest method of removing colour cast that comes from nd filters, magenta usually, at least with cokin and hitech.
thanks in advance for any replies

take yourself off to your local college sign up for a beginners course and follow on from that.
i did this ,am now on the 4th. we have now become our own little camera club . started as beginners then intermediate then continuance which does exactly that, we all just sign up for the next term when each one ends.
have gone from learning the basic controls on the camera to researching famous photographers, techniques, going to local places of interest to photograph, take on a project plus using post processing through elements 9. i really look forward to these 2hrs every week plus as i say we get together outside of this and off we go with camera in hand. also you can give and receive constructive criticism which can be good brings you down to earth.
sorry if i,ve gone on a bit but for me signing up,after a lot of "shall i shan,t i " was the best thing i have done since buying my camera

i assume from what you say you have adjusted the diopter with your glasses off and still been unable to to get a focused image anywhere in it,s range, looked in the k7 manual the diopter correction lens adapter M in the accessories section has twice the range as the one fitted as standard so as i said i think i will seriously have to consider it.
i really don,t know how you cope with glasses on when i try i end up switching live view on with my nose, could be i have double wammy wearing glasses with a big conk

so do i and i have had to wear glasses all my life from 8yrs old when i could not read the writing on the blackboard. i am not being arguementative i am just saying that there are options to use the camera without using your glasses, by the sound of it our sight is very similar, i am sat 2ft from a 22 monitor and from my right eye i cannot read clearly any of the black print on this page with my glasses, without i cannot read any print on this page. due for test now due to deterioration in 2 yrs. left eye ok,with glasses, always has been the stongest.
so you can see i am the last person that would wish to offend people who wear glasses, i was trying to help with a problem some have with how i overcame the same problem,

never mind well done, this man deserves a medal to get a magazine to give such esteemed recognition to a Pentax.
A mighty HURRAH would be in order, and i know where he is coming from with the other half
