That is the boundary fence between the gardens Nigel. Bamboo canes . Was a very busy background but the f2.8 really helped soften the blow thanks to all for looking.

thanks for comments, the magnolia were starting to go over which surprised me as they had only really started to show about 3 weeks ago. It's possible the storm winds didn't help

Thanks for looking and comments. Do like using this lens even though it has issues and doesn't work in live view, a firmware problem apparently but Sigma no longer repairing this lens or the 100-300mm f4 which i had thought about but don' t want to end up with another problem lens , especially at the price they seem to command.

17-70mm f4 Pentax or Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 are very good and fairly cheap, although 16-85 could prove a bit more versatile due to slghtly more range on each end but sacrificing a bit on aperture range , only a problem in some specific situations.

you need to keep glasses on and if you have varifocal as i do that adds another problem as to which point to look through , near , middle or far. i tend to use the near portion as that is what i have to use to get clarity viewing the back screen, through ovf and monitor

3rd image for me, some beautiful light on the building which makes it the winner for me over the mono images.
