Funny thing I'm just testing some GP Reycko+ (2100 eneloop type) with a K100d I brought for my father in law from these forums. So far so good. From the bit of net trawling I've done I have also read that AA Lithium (non rechargable) are supposed to be good. Plan C was to try and get a set of nickel zinc (nizn) batteries and charger from HK as I believe they keep there voltage at 1.6V and therefore will give a similar effect to lithium (1.7V?) and should not drop below the threshold level to trigger the low battery meter.

O.k cool, I'll take this, its actually for my wifes dad, I've just got him a k100d from these forums, but took it around today and realised his camera was a bit older than I thought it was!

mmm..im tempted by this, just a quick question as I have no idea about these things. I have a few old m42 lenses (I think thats correct they are part of a asahi spotmatic-f slr). Does that pin that stick out the back of these lenses cause a problem with the digital bodies, and what if any functions are available?

Would you accept a slightly lower offer if postage was second class as not in a rush to receive?
